[Bug 1276350] Re: Batch processor does not start assistant - icpfind

I'm using 2014.0.0-RC2 on OSX 10.9.2 and icpfind also hangs for me
either using it from the assistant or calling it from the command line.

MacBook-Air:~ user$ cd /Applications/Hugin/Hugin.app/Contents/MacOS
MacBook-Air:MacOS user$ ./icpfind
# it hangs here indefinitely.

Title:
Batch processor does not start assistant - icpfind

Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Using 2014.0.0-beta1 built by Matthieu DESILE on OSX 10.9.1

Running the assistant in the PTBatcherGUI appears to hang when running
the icpfind command, going back to version 2013 works fine.

Verbose output simply stops at, with no further output.

  /Applications/Hugin/PTBatcherGUI.app/Contents/MacOS/icpfind -o
  /Users/###/Documents/virtual\ farms/raw\ photos/Caldermeade/February\
  2014/panorama1.pto /Users/###/Documents/virtual\ farms/raw\
  photos/Caldermeade/February\ 2014/panorama1.pto

  No other error messages appear.

Edit: Further investigation finds that running
  /Applications/Hugin/Hugin.app/Contents/MacOS/icpfind from the command
line produces no output and hangs, appears icpfind is the issue

edit2: eventually after 30 second icpfind will run, but throws up a
modal error message, halting the processing until the dialog is
  canceled:

  wxWidgets Debug Alert
../src/common/cmdline.cpp(541): assert "i != (-1)" failed in FoundSwitch(): unknown switch

  [07] 0x00000004

Do you want to stop the program?
You can also choose [Cancel] to suppress further warnings.
