Thanks. Yes, it still happens. Here's a link to the DropBox zip file
that contains the two images, the pto and the result. You can see the
duplicated hand rails with two light to their right, just about centered
in the final image.

I think this is a new bug:
When stitching a 360° panorama as cylindrical, Hugin duplicates some
features in an overlap area of two images, despite the control points
being good. Best performance is with "Panorama Outputs" set to
"Exposure corrected, low dynamic range". It's worse for the other two
settings where more duplicates creep in. The area is one which shows a
big change in exposure in the two overlapping images (due to poor
settings when I took the photos), but I'm not sure that's the problem.
CPs are perfect.
Attaching .pto and a crop of the entire panorama showing the relevant
area.
