[Bug 1611021] Re: Too much iterations and time to align

Not a normal situation, in my experience.
It suggests there are some problems with the project, but impossible to say at this stage.
Which version of Hugin, and what OS?
With such a large project I am reluctant to suggest you make your images available so we can see what is happening.
One approach is to try only part of the image set, and see if that stitches OK, then the next part and so on, to try to isolate where the problem is.
You could also use the Advanced or Expert interface and use the Control Points tab to check that all the control points in overlapping images are reasonable, and also check if control points have found in non overlapping images...a situation that can occur when images have very similar detail e.g brick walls etc.

Bug description:
Hi, I'm trying to stitch 48 images on Hugin.
I imported photos and then I clicked align.
Now, this is the situation

About 4 hours of processing and it started a "Strategy 2" with new iterations.
It's something normal?
