[Bug 1635992] Re: Null count for "Tag 50341" (type 7, writecount -3, passcount 1) (in module "_TIFFVsetField")

@Thomas: I agree the cause of the warning should be fixed upstream. I
am not sure if the bug is in their tracker at
https://redmine.darktable.org/projects/darktable/issues?page=2&query_id=1
and I am also not yet registered there.

@Stefan: I downsized the images on request by Thomas in comment #1.
Before posting them, I tested/reproduced the bug. It is possible that
my memory betrayed me and that the warnings I have seen on the two
resized images set are not the same as the warnings that I have seen on
the six full size images. If you want two full size images, I can try
to find a place where to upload a 60MB zip file. However, I do not
think it will make a difference: both sets of images were created by
Darktable directly and the relevant metadata are identical. Thomas has
identified the issue. Why the warning appears on my *X*ubntu 16.04
(which is the result of an upgrade from 14.04 that goes back to an
upgrade from 12.04, is a mystery. When I have time I will try on a
fresh install of *X*ubuntu 16.04 and report back, although at this point
I think this bug can be left as a FYI if somebody finds the same
behaviour. A best use of feedback-time is to feed this bug back upstream
to Darktable. Maybe next weekend, no time now and the workload for the
week is heavy.

Title:
Null count for "Tag 50341" (type 7, writecount -3, passcount 1) (in
  module "_TIFFVsetField")

Status in Hugin:
  New

Bug description:
Hugin 2016.2.0.be8da0221960 from PPA on Xubuntu 16.04
Trying to stitch a couple of TIFFs created with Darktable
The following error keeps popping up:
Null count for "Tag 50341" (type 7, writecount -3, passcount 1) (in module "_TIFFVsetField")
Hugin does its work, but clicking away the multiple error message (for each image, and it seems to come up every time the image is displayed) is a painful papercut
