This it not a bug, but a "feature".
OnClose gets called the same if you close the window via the red button and if you do Cmd+Q. We would need to detect that difference.
At least on Mac it would make sense to make Cmd+W close the preview WINDOW
and Cmd+Q QUIT Hugin completely regardless of the current window.

  Quit doesn't quit

Status in Hugin:
  New

Bug description:
  When Hugin is in advanced or expert mode and the Fast Preview window
  is the front window, Quit doesn't stop Hugin but closes the Fast
  Preview window.

  Hugin 2013.0.0
  Mac OS X 10.6.8 and OS X 10.9.0
