32 bit unsigned int support is not so much tested.
The display of the images in the GUI is control by the preferences setting on the control point editor tab.
Can you provide a link to 2 images for testing?

  possible 32bit TIFF mishandling

Bug description:
  I'm testing an HDR workflow with 32bit HDR tiff files (BT.2020 Linear) and have noticed 2 issues:
  1) The thumbnails on the Photos tab have different gamma/color mapping to the previews in the Masks and Control points (I suspect that these three tabs are not using the same gamma curve).
  2) cpfind returns 0 control points.
