error inserting 'acpi_call.ko': -1 Invalid module format

After a regular update on Ubuntu 10.10 on a HP G62 when

sudo insmod .acpi_call/acpi_call.ko


I get

insmod: error inserting '.acpi_call/acpi_call.ko': -1 Invalid module format


 This method was working fine until now. Anyone has experimented this issue
so far?
