Re: nvidia/nvidia systems: has anyone tried bumblebee?
Just to say... I'm REALLY sorry about the rm -rf /usr - bug...
It has been fixed..

For my part, I tried installing bumblebee on my test partition and it just wrecked everything. Installation bugged half-way and I was left with no /usr directory.

You find the tar.gz attached. I cannot submit it as a bugreport because I don't know how to upload files in github. Also, though it has happened, it didn't happen just now. (so would the bug-report have that info?)

Can you run bumblebee-bugreport and submit your tar.gz as a github issue?
sudo ./install-files/bumblebee-bugreport
