  Desktop file directories under $XDG_DATA_DIRS/applications/* don't
  support hyphen in name

Bug description:
  Following http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/menu-
  spec-1.0.html#paths

  If I put a desktop file under the folder /usr/share/applications/foobar, then it's displayed in dash all right.
  If I put the same desktop file under the directory /usr/share/applications/foo-bar, then it's name in dash is blank.
