I'm not sure where you'd find a newer package.  That said, you are welcome to add it to the package wish list.  In the future, when we have the infrastructure to support community packagers someone might pick it up:

And, if you're feeling edgy you can also work on building the package yourself as a one-off... or submitting an SRPM for it:
