Thanks for taking the time to contact use about this issue and the kind 
words.  See the following bug for information on why IUS requires the 
php55u-pecl-jsonc package and information why we are using jsonc instead 
of the stock json:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ius/+bug/1357116

If you did not need json(c) then you can simply remove the requires line.

May I ask why you are rebuilding PHP?  Are there some changes that we 
should be including in our PHP55u packages?
