The built-in 'innodb' is now building as a dynamic plugin rather than a static plugin....  meaning existing installs and upgrade may be adversely effected without careful consideration.  Continuing to look into the issue.

Source Database Management System, has been released.  MySQL 5.1.43 is
recommended for use on production systems.
