EPEL's versions of Git has hit version 1.7.4.1, that being the case IUS
no longer needs to maintain a Git17 package:

    http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/SRPMS/repoview/git.html

Git17 is being removed from IUS, all users using this package will want
to remove Git17 and install Git from EPEL.
