Thanks. I ran another test and it looks like the sqlite3 extension is
available with the CLI package but not with the Apache module. I
compared the phpinfo() results of both and the web version is missing
the sqlite3 part.

Bug description:
  The php53u package seems to be missing the sqlite extension. According
  to the PHP documentation, this extension is enabled by default since
  PHP 5, so this may break many applications.
