I would like to add my voice to the need for IUS packages for RHEL6.

Although RHEL6 ships with PHP 5.3.x as others have said it is already
one year behind IUS. Red Hat might update PHP 5.3 to later versions, but
if they do as they did in RHEL5 they won't do that for three years. RHEL
policy is, as everybody knows, to keep on the stable version and
backport fixes for as long as possible!

If IUS offered packages for RHEL6 now we could deploy IUS safe in the
knowledge that we could keep upgrading to later versions as required
rather than wait for Red Hat to decide, years later, to bump to later
versions.

Bug description:
  Originally thought we wouldn't support php53 on ius-6, however users
  in #rhel are asking about it as the stock php in RHEL 6 might not be
  cutting it.
