Thank you for your time,
I believe you edited the spec correctly as interbase is attempting to installed,
however I figured I would be absolutely sure (below is the config needed for SPEC):
# %%define _with_interbase 0
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ius-coredev/ius/php53u/view/head:/SPECS/php53u.spec#L28
The error you posted below makes be believe firebird is not installed:
+ --with-interbase=shared,/usr/lib/firebird --with-pdo-firebird=shared,/usr/lib/firebird
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.98059: line 174: --with-interbase=shared,/usr/lib/firebird: No such file or directory
Since Mock installs a custom chrooted environment, packages installed on your system will not be
automatically pulled in (I believe this is you running yum list installed on your system and not the Mock environment):
yum list installed | grep firebird
firebird-devel.i386 2.1.4.18393.0-1.el5 installed
firebird-devel.x86_64 2.1.4.18393.0-1.el5 installed
firebird-filesystem.x86_64 2.1.4.18393.0-1.el5 installed
firebird-libfbclient.x86_64 2.1.4.18393.0-1.el5 installed
firebird-libfbembed.x86_64 2.1.4.18393.0-1.el5 installed
