Sorry, haven't had my coffee this morning... Was installing i386 build
on x86_64 hardware.

When installing proper arch package everything appears fine:

# uname -a
Linux CentOS5-5-IUS-testing 2.6.18-238.el5xen #1 SMP Thu Jan 13 16:41:45 EST 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

# rpm -Uvh php54-xcache-2.0.0-1.ius.el5.x86_64.rpm

# php -v
PHP 5.4.3 (cli) (built: May  8 2012 16:33:02)

Bug description:
  Looks like xcache 2.0 now supports php5.4.  Is it possible to get the
  xcache package updated since php54u is missing xcache?
