[Bug 1003734] Re: 302 redirect to ius-release rpm

Hello Paul,

Thank you for taking the time to post this issue today,
however I'm not quite sure I full understand what you are asking for and why.

I believe you want a hyperlink somewhere on the IUS community site that
directs to the latest ius-release package, in the case of right now that would be:

   http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/Redhat/5/x86_64/ius-
release-1.0-10.ius.el5.noarch.rpm

If this is correct can your application use a regular expression or some
way to search like below:

  http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/Redhat/5/x86_64/ius-
release-.*.rpm

or you could read the XML data found in the repodata:

http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/Redhat/5/x86_64/repodata/filelists.xml.gz

Title:
  302 redirect to ius-release rpm

Status in IUS Community Project:
  New

Bug description:
Would it be possible to have within the repository or site a link that
does a 302 redirect to the current version of the ius-release?

That would make life easier for people using configuration management
tools, rather than finding things break every time you update your
  version.
