Thank you for the heads up Rola,

The eaccelerator package is unique as it can't rely on the PHP ABI version (like other packages),
this means it needs to be rebuild with each new php version change.

It seems I did not rebuild this package against the 5.3.16 version, 
I'm getting this resolved as we speak.

  Hi,

  I get this error, when I try to do yum update from PHP 5.3.15 to PHP
  5.3.16:

  php53u-eaccelerator-0.9.6.1-16.ius.el5.x86_64 from installed has depsolving problems
    --> Missing Dependency: php53u-common = 5.3.15 is needed by package php53u-eaccelerator-0.9.6.1-16.ius.el5.x86_64 (installed)
  Error: Missing Dependency: php53u-common = 5.3.15 is needed by package php53u-eaccelerator-0.9.6.1-16.ius.el5.x86_64 (installed)
   You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem

  I think is similar to bug #1020333.
