Title:
zlib dependency problem in mysql55-5.5.34-1
Status in IUS Community Project:
Invalid
Bug description:
We currently have mysql55-5.5.29-1 (from ius) and zlib-1.2.3-27 (from
rhel-x86_64-server-6.3.z) installed. This version of mysql55 has a
Requires for "libz.so.1()(64bit)", which is provided by the zlib
package. But now, running "yum --disableexcludes=all update" fails
with:
Error: Package: mysql55-5.5.33-2.ius.el6.x86_64 (ius)
Requires: libz.so.1(ZLIB_1.2.0)(64bit)
Error: Package: mysql55-server-5.5.33-2.ius.el6.x86_64 (ius)
Requires: libz.so.1(ZLIB_1.2.0)(64bit)
It appears that this newer mysql55 package is now requiring an older
version of zlib (1.2.0), which is not available from either RHEL or
IUS (nor from EPEL, for that matter), so updates are not possible.
Can you please fix the incorrect Requires for the mysql55-5.5.33-2
packages, or else point out if I'm missing something obvious here? :)
