The latest build (php56u-5.6.2-1.ius) now supports el6.  Those package
will move to the testing repos tonight.  Please use then in your normal
work flow and let us know if you run into any issues.

  WL: Backport of php56u to el6

Status in IUS Community Project:
  New

Bug description:
  IUS offers php56u for el7, but it doesn't provide one for el6.

  There are lot of installations out there still on el6, and would like
  to benefit out of new PHP. Since you already have packages I presume
  backporting shouldn't pose a big problem.

  I can assist with testing.
