Bug description:
I think a text editor should include a spell checker. Here's a simple patch which adds spell-checking.

It requires a dependency on python-gtkspell (for Ubuntu/Debian).

There probably should also be an option to turn spell checking off. See gEdit's Tools menu for ideas.
