This feature you want has already been added for 1.8, actually, it is in the bazaar repository.
You can change the font size on the text, tree, tabs, nodepath, and attributes.

If you want to use this (there is no install package right now) try from
your command line:

bzr branch lp:kabikaboo

then cd into the trunk directory and type:

./kabikaboo

You will get all the latest features then.
