One way would be to email me your file to see if I can recover it.  But
you might want to keep the contents secret.

- What version(s) of each program did you use to save/open?
- On Linux, if you can run Kabikaboo from command line, then open your file, it might give you some debug information.

To run from command line, I think you can just type "kabikaboo", or,
"which kabikaboo" and then run that.

  cannot open file created in Kabikaboo x Win in Kabikaboo on my Ubuntu

Bug description:
  I created a file in Kabikaboo on my windows machine in office.
  I wanted to work on it at home on my Ubuntu macine and it said: "Error opening file"
  Wat is wrong?
