Title:
Random freezes when not suspended at least once after reboot

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The computer freezes randomly unless I have suspended and awaken the
system at least once since reboot. A freeze can, in general, be
expected to occur within an hour of a fresh reboot. The system has
froze after a suspend-awakening, but only twice during the past 6
  months.

The system in it's frozen state isn't affected by Alt-
SysRq-R-E-I-S-U-B, which is why I am reporting it as a bug concerning
  the Linux Kernel itself.

The bug first appeared in 12.10.
