Title:
1969:2062 ar8152 v2.0 fast ethernet nic stops working
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Per my Asus 1215n laptop report here:
http://www.subspacefield.org/~travis/asus_eee_pc_1215n.html
The atl1c driver that's in the kernel works for a few minutes, then
stops working, saying that eth0 is disconnected. Removing and re-
inserting cable doesn't help.
Possibly removing a module and reloading it would; I don't know.
The AR8152 NIC doesn't work any more. I tried to compile Atheros's
latest driver, and it looks like the kernel cabal removed mc_list from
net_device, breaking third-party drivers. But I could be wrong.
