Title:
168c:002b Atheros AR9285 wireless connection unstable
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I currently am experiencing issues with the "ath9k" modules present in
kernel "2.6.31-20-generic" on Kubuntu 9.10. when using the stock
modules included with that kernel my wifeless connection in extremely
unstable and disconnects and reconnects frequently. After i installed
"linux-backports-modules-wireless-karmic-generic" i have been able to
maintain a wireless connection but am suffering from serious speed
issues. the speed will drastically spike up and then slow down to
taking several minutes to transfer even one MB between the laptop with
the Atheros and a desktop wired directly into the router. we have
other laptops and various other devices that are able to use the
wireless with no issues. it seems to only be this machine with the
AR9285.
