Title:
BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s!

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I'm running 12.10 on a Dell Precision M50, kernel version
  3.5.0-27-generic #46.

This problem happens every few minutes, even running the simplest applications such as vi - If I am playing some music with totem it will start repeating the same segment of the music until it stops completely.
