Title:
Dell Inspiron 9300- kernel panic - unable to handle kernel paging
  request at 0498efff

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Unknown cause of kernel panic, which has plauged my Inspiron 9300
since I started testing 13.04 on it. Anyway, this time I was able to
type it all out on another laptop (see attached). The kernel error
  number is different, though.

I'm going to look into trying the upstream kernel again as mentioned
  in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1164788 , and
if I can find a walkaround for the hardware I'll test it out.

The caps lock light and num lock light were both blinking in sync with
each other during the kernel panic, which I haven't noticed with other
  kernel panics.

Also, it seems that I'm more likely to get a kernel panic on battery
power, and while not using the desk, even though my fans are not
  obstructed while on the couch.

****there may be some slight errors in the kernel panic output BECAUSE
I hand copied it using another computer ****
