Thanks for your answer. There does not seem to be any sticker on the computer, and I won't have access to the warranty for a few days. The BIOS gives product number D2G27EA#ABF.
I must add that hibernate seemed to work on 12.04 (as well as UEFI secure boot, but it apparently stopped being able to boot with it since 12.10 onwards).
