mmalmeida, thank you for providing the requested information. As Samsung
does not display the current BIOS in an obvious manner, as per
http://www.samsung.com/pt/support/model/NP900X4C-A02PT-downloads an
update may be available for your BIOS. If you update to this, does it
change anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

  [Samsung Series 9 NP900X4C-A02PT] Black screen at login

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When booting, the UI won't load. Instead, the system will display a
  black screen and a working mouse cursor.

  If I ctl+alt+f5, it will display the shell login and I can login. UI
  will load if I restart the lightdm service.

  If I boot in 3.8.0-25 the system will boot correctly.
