[Bug 1163808] Re: *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung
Jotham, as per
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5079569#N1769
an update is available for your BIOS (F.1B). If you update to this, does
it change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
[HP Pavilion dv6-6023tx Entertainment Notebook PC] *ERROR* Hangcheck
timer elapsed... GPU hung
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
My audio stopped working and it won't suspend right now. I took a look at dmesg and noticed some errors had happened, including: *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung
I've been trying to report the gpu lockups but it usually needs a reboot so I can't get any debug info.
Seems to happen when I switch users, but not always.
If there is anything I need to test please ask.
