[Bug 1208197] Re: Edimax EW-7811UN wifi speeds lower than in Windows
Timmmm, as per
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H67M/#support_Download_8 an update is
available for your BIOS (3804). If you update to this, does it change
anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
7392:7811 Edimax EW-7811UN wifi speeds lower than in Windows
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I have an EW-7811UN wifi dongle. It does work (connects to networks).
However it is much slower than in Windows (2Mb/s vs at least 15 Mb/s).
Absolutely nothing changed between tests except I rebooted into
Windows. Same USB port, same time, same position, etc.
This is with Ubuntu 13.04
