matteo sisti sette, as per
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=M51Sn&os=17 an
update is available for your BIOS (306). If you update to this, does it
change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Shutdown takes forever eating up CPU, several errors displayed
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I shut down the computer normally; shutdown started and seemed to take
forever; the laptop's fan speeded up, indicating high CPU usage. A
message appeared which I can't remember exactly, "process stuck for
XX seconds" or "CPU lock XX seconds", something like that, followed by
a sort of stack trace. Then, after several seconds, a similar message,
and so on, until I finally forced power off.
