[Bug 1208297] Re: IOMMU Broken on 3.8 kernels?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.11 kernel[0].
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.
If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.
If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".
Thanks in advance.

Title:
IOMMU Broken on 3.8 kernels?
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I've got an Asrock A75Pro4-M, after enabling IOMMU from BIOS running with kernel 3.2.0-29-generic dmesg reported iommu correctly working:
[ 0.518415] AMD-Vi: Enabling IOMMU at 0000:00:00.2 cap 0x40 extended features: PreF PPR GT IA
[ 0.518479] AMD-Vi: Initialized for Passthrough Mode
Now with kernel 3.8.0-27 :
"AMD IOMMUv2 functionality not available on this system"
No more lines referring to IOMMU v1, is that a common behaviour?
Thanks
P.S. "ubuntu-bug linux" states that my current image file does not
comes from an offical package (not true)
