Bug description:
  This problem affects me on 13.04.

  Stable connection with good ping times, but throughput is measured in 10-20 kB/s.
  Other linux machines on the same access point (NETGEAR WNDR3700v2) get 0.5 to 1 mB/s.

  Additionally I noticed that attempting a data transfer over wifi on
  the effected machine has a detrimental effect on ping times for other
  machines on the same access point.
