anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:

  Asus X501A brightness keys are not working

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have installed Ubuntu 12.10 on Asus X501A
  (http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/X501A/).

  But function keys for setting display brightness are not working. When
  I press them, nothing happens.

  In addition, when I change brightness from Brightness and Lock window, it is not persisted, but reset to maximum after system restart.
