[Bug 1071200] Re: external monitor stops boot process
Jorge Rama, as per
http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/K50IN/#support_Download_8 an
update is available for your BIOS (223). If you update to this, does it
change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
external monitor stops boot process
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
My laptop will not boot into ubuntu if I start the system with an
external monitor attached.
After selecting "Ubuntu" screen shows this text:
alloc magic broken at 0xdfbb1680: ff2c001e
Aborted. Press any key to exit
_________
I am then forced to disconnect the monitor and reboot the system.
However if I connect the monitor while "Ubuntu" is loading/loaded I
can work with the external monitor without issue.
