[Bug 1067077] Re: 1002:68d8 Kernel panic at shutdown Radeon HD 5670
Philipp Trommler, as per
http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/770%20Extreme3/?cat=Download&os=BIOS an
update is available for your BIOS (1.90). If you update to this, does it
change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
1002:68d8 Kernel panic at shutdown Radeon HD 5670
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Sometimes, circa three times of ten, kernel panics on shutdown.
Before, shutdown just stucked, with no error messages or blinking lights on the keyboard. Now, for some reasons, all the shutdown messages are laid on top of the purple screen (where the "Ubuntu" letters and the points are in some strange "ubuntu-mono" style now, but that seems to be another problem) ending up in a kernel panic stack trace.
