Title:
touchpad stops working properly after screen turns off (powersave)

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Fairly often (not every time) the touchpad stops working properly
after I leave the system idle and the screen blanks itself to save
power (set to 10 minutes currently). When I try to use it, it's
jittery, jumpy, and/or doesn't work at all and is unusable. This
happens on my HP EliteBook 8460p laptop when the lcd is blanked. When
it occurs the pointer stick (the pointery knob thats in the middle of
  the keyboard) still works.

WORKAROUND: sudo rmmod psmouse && sudo modprobe psmouse
