[Bug 1043941] Re: [HP EliteBook 6930p] System burns through battery in ~30 mins, not even warning before hard-powering off

Brendan Donegan, as per
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3688870&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3688868&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4060#120
an update is available for your BIOS (F.20). If you update to this, does
it change anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
[HP EliteBook 6930p] System burns through battery in ~30 mins, not
  even warning before hard-powering off

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Since a few days ago I have noticed that my system is lasting for a
*very* short period of time off battery. When removed from the charger
after a full day charging it shows just 50 mins of power, but doesn't
even last that long. After about 30 mins it hard powers off, as
opposed to warning and suspending the system.

  Powertop shows:

  http://paste.ubuntu.com/1176231/

Suspiciously there is no info on wattage used, even though the system
is unplugged and running on battery.
