Title:
  Soft lockup on NetworkManager

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Connect to internet with wireless or tethered phone will cause this

First symptom is the loss of network
Trying to restart network-manager: 'sudo service network-manager restart' will trigger a lockup
After approximately 30s the system becomes responsive again but network access is not reliable after that.
