[Bug 1210201] Re: Touchpad not recognized when upgrading to kernel 3:11

us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers an update is available for your
BIOS (V1.11). If you update to this, does it change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

By doing sudo apt-get upgrade, the kernel has been updated to 3.11. When you restart to complete the upgrade, the touchpad was not recognized by the system. I'm using a mouse to operate my laptop.
