Title:
system won't resume after suspend on 2.6.32-22

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Suspend/result works fine with the 2.6.31-10-rt kernel, so this seems
to be some sort of kernel regression. I also have other random
crashing issues on the 2.6.32 kernel that appears so far to not occur
on the 2.6.31 kernel, I'm not sure whether that's due to a seperate
issue or not. The crashes are very like that mentioned here:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/585765

The bug can be reproduced (on this laptop at least) by simply
suspending the machine and then trying to resume it. The resume
fails with a black screen and no apparent way of gaining any further
  response from the system.
