Title:
Some HTTP connections are very slow or even time out
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
After updating two machines to 12.04-beta1 I am experiencing problems with some websites.
E.g. google.com has a very slow response, some sites, like http://myremotesetup.com, even time out.
Executing this command seems to fix it:
iptables -A FORWARD -p tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS --clamp-
mss-to-pmtu
This wasn't an issue before, i.e. with 11.10 and 11.04.
