Bug description:
  Hi devs
  After many trials with fresh installs, current and past releases, I found the regression issue was introduced between ubuntu LTS 8.04 (resume worked) and LTS 10.04 (resume did not work any more). I could not test intermediate releases 8.10 9.04 9.10 because LTS 8.04 upgrade jumped direct to next LTS 10.04.
