[Bug 893464] Re: D-Link DWA-525 wireless desktop PCI adapter doesn't work under Oneiric
I am sorry to say that I removed this card a couple of releases ago - I
was finally able to get an ethernet cable to the computer in question -
and I don't know where I put it (blush).
So I am not able to test at this time. Very sorry.
If I am able to find it at some point in the future, should I come back
to this bug?

Title:
D-Link DWA-525 wireless desktop PCI adapter doesn't work under Oneiric
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I recently purchased a D-Link DWA-525 wireless desktop PCI adapter.
It is identified as a RALINK rt2800 style card but the driver provided
with the system does not work with this device (wireless networking
disabled).
The latest drivers from http://www.ralinktech.com/en/ - that is,
DPO_RT3562_3592_3062_LinuxSTA_V2.4.1.1_20101217.tgz - work fine when
installed as per the following instructions:
http://steveswinsburg.wordpress.com/2011/03/12/how-to-install-a-d
-link-dwa-525-wireless-network-card-in-ubuntu-10-04/
Of course, they need to be re-built and re-installed every time a new
kernel comes along... and meanwhile, the network isn't working...
Is there any way to get this fixed so that the correct drivers,
correctly configured, are installed by default for this device?
Thanks!
