Title:
system stopped responding instead of displaying lock screen.

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Walked away from the PC and returned 10 minutes later to sleeping
monitors. No response to mouse or keyboard (numlock light did not
respond.) Attempted switching consoles w/ctrl-alt-F1 and also got no
  response.

Had to hold down power button on tower to force a restart. This is the
second time in about a month that this has happened.
