[Bug 1214319] Re: USB Mouse and keyboard freezes randomly but often

PhilX, as per
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=911&CategoryID=1&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=20&LanID=0
an update is available for your BIOS. If you update to this, does it
change anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

** Description changed:

- Exactly the same kind of bug described in
- https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/627862
-
Using UBS mouse and/or keyboard let my Ubuntu freezing very often. Not
everytime it occures, but quite often. Then only a reboot is possible.
Also, when Ubuntu freezes, only the usb is affected. So actually ubuntu
is still working, but the usb system is off. There is also not a single
event about that in the kernel log.

- Cheers
- Phil
