[Bug 1213422] Re: L Ctrl + Up produces no udev event

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream stable kernel?
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the
latest v3.2 stable kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Title:
L Ctrl + Up produces no udev event

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Pressing the L Ctrl + Up button produces no event visible in xev or in
  /lib/udev/keymap -i input/eventX. R Ctrl + Up produces events, Ctrl
produces events and Up produces events. Even L Ctrl + Right, L Ctrl +
Left and L Ctrl + Down produce events.

This started a few days ago, I don't recall any event that
  precipitated it.

For a while, it seemed to be working sporadically, i.e. if you pressed
L Ctrl + Up enough times, it would work once. But it has not worked at
  all lately.

I expect the L Ctrl + Up keypress to move me to the next workspace
